Big 12 Club

Sponsor a child. Invest in a future.

You can have a tremendous impact on the life of one of our children by participating in the Big 12 Club. Members of the Big 12 Club make an annual pledge of $12,000 to cover the cost of raising one of our children for one full year and ensure that our children have the essentials they need.

Your commitment makes all the difference

It takes roughly $1,000 a month to provide the basics of food, clothing, emotional, psychological and medical care, as well as academic and extracurricular activities. The members of the Big 12 Club do more than help provide essentials. They provide hope. They provide stability. They provide the strength we need to lead our children into adulthood.

For more information on Big 12 Club membership, contact Jessica Phillips at (205) 467-6226 or jphillips@bigoak.org.

Your commitment makes all the difference

More than anything, being part of the Big 12 Club has nurtured our sense of gratitude.

Jonathan first learned about Big Oak Ranch when he was 10, after his parents divorced and his mother began volunteering at the Ranch. She taught that children come into this world expecting that they will be loved.

Despite difficulty in his own childhood, he was blessed with constant love and strong, positive examples. So many children, though, don’t have those fundamental blessings. At Big Oak Ranch, you can see the transformation that happens when a child who has known only abuse and neglect finds real love, real purpose, real hope. We give because we can see the effect our gifts have on the dignity of the children; how it creates opportunities and can help create change in families that lasts generations.

More than anything, being part of the Big 12 Club has nurtured our sense of gratitude.

She is a devoted friend, trustworthy and filled with vision to cultivate ministry within her career. She is developing a solid work ethic, learning the value of consistency and commitment. Skyler has a vision to one day work in real estate, to guide people through the process of selling and buying their dream home. Skyler sees a deeper purpose etched within the walls and parameters of a home, because she found Jesus, her Firm Foundation, within her home and family at Big Oak Ranch. She desires to extend this parallel opportunity to her future clients – bringing families into safe homes and introducing them to the Hope she discovered in hers.

When we first learned about Big Oak Ranch, and the stories of their children, we thought, “That’s Tod!”

His story was much the same and it was for the grace of God that he was able to rise above his circumstances. We’ve seen what tragedy and extreme instability can do to young lives, but at Big Oak Ranch, you can also see the power of God’s grace.

As many donors do, we looked closely at Big Oak Ranch before we chose to support their mission. And as we looked, we saw excellence everywhere. In their facilities, in their people, in the love and care and support they provide the children. But mostly, you see it in the changed lives of their children. Truly, God works miracles at Big Oak Ranch and we can’t imagine a better way to return the blessings we’ve been given.

Volunteer Resource Parenting

Volunteer Resource Parenting

Each month, our houseparents get one weekend away. During the weekend, we pair each child with a Resource Family which serves as an extended family for our children. The relationships built and enjoyed through this valuable part of our mission are life-changing for our children and our resource families alike.

Ways to Help

With your help, we can make sure that every young person gets the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life.
