“I was bad,” he says. His life was fights and trouble, with no accountability and no responsibility. He couldn’t picture himself grown, or avoiding prison. But then he came to Big Oak Ranch. He says those early days at the Ranch changed him. Now he’s playing college basketball on scholarship. He dreams of coaching. But when asked what he hopes to be as an adult, his answers go beyond career. “I want to be someone who helps other people. I want to be someone who leads people to Jesus. I want to be someone who makes a difference.”
