“Our involvement with Big Oak Ranch, which began when Sallie joined the Auxiliary, has given us many opportunities to visit both the Boys’ and Girls’ Ranch. We tell friends that if they’re considering making a contribution to the Big Oak Ranch, just go spend some time there…interacting with the children, the houseparents and the staff. We’ve supported the Ranch in various ways over the years…making memorial donations, sharing our lake house with one of the families and working at The Outfitters at the Boys’ Ranch. But when Joann Bashinsky told us about the Big 12 Club, we saw it as an opportunity to support the Ranch in a bigger way. We have seen how far so many children go—from their first day at the Ranch until possibly heading off to college or a job. We can’t think of a better investment.”
